en [Cano is 22-for-47 since Aug. 31 after a 10-for-57 stretch.] The one thing you can't teach is confidence, ... and he has great confidence for a young player.

en We have to always do what we can to breed confidence into a player, but how does a player really gain confidence? It's being successful. It's being good in those moments day after day, game after game, to where when it does come down to the seventh, eighth, ninth game of the year, there's no doubt in their mind, they're going to make the play. It comes down to confidence.

en That little butcher-boy play is a play he needs to do more often. It's a big asset for him. He just needs to have confidence in himself to do it a lot. That's his game. That's the kind of player he's going to be. That's the player he should be, so I'd like to see him do it.

en This just kind of typifies our whole year. We have a great group of young guys that are capable of becoming very good. This team just continued to fight and make plays as it gained confidence down the stretch.

en It's a confidence thing. The second half of last year, I felt more confident and I feel more comfortable this spring. That's the big thing for me. I can work on drills and footwork all day, but if I don't feel comfortable, it's not going to matter.
