One year, we purchased pulse rate monitors, because we teach the children early on how to monitor their heart rate. When they are really young, we show them how to put their hand on their chest and feel their heart beat, and experience their hearts beating faster or slower. As they get older, they can use the wristband heart monitor to monitor their pulse while they are exercising. We were expecting this to be a wet weekend, and the weather forecast is still bad so it's likely to be a tough weekend because we haven't done much wet testing this year. Spa is the best circuit in the world, and the most fun to drive, but the intensity of the rain can vary hugely so that can have a big impact on circuit conditions. Still, it will be the same for everyone. Last year I took pole in the wet here so we'll be hoping for a positive result.

At the moment, we have more opportunities than engineers. The right staff have ample chance not only to exploit their core skill of digital or analogue circuit design, but also to get involved with the wider mixed-signal IC team to integrate the various circuit elements, to verify and test the design, and bring the complete solution to market.
