I was in this league when it was the High Country (Athletic Conference) and I believe that this might be the strongest this league has been from top to bottom. There's a lot of winning going on in this league and it's going to be a challenge.

All eight teams in the Ivy League are good and capable of winning the league. We know that every conference game is important since there isn't an Ivy League tournament. There is a lot on the line in every game, both in and out of the league.

The goals for us haven't changed any from one league to the next. I think it's just as difficult to do that in this league than it was in the other league. Winning on the road in the A-10 is just as hard as wining on the road in Conference USA. I honestly believe that.

I don't care which team you play in this league, they're no trap games. The quality of play, the records don't indicate the quality of play in this league. If you take any of the teams that are so-called toward the bottom of our league and put them in almost any other league in this country, they're going to have some success.

You're basically looking at two sets of standings. You're looking at who's winning our league, but you're looking far more at the bottom of the league. It's something we talk about every day.

But you can only do so much. The frustration has been incredible. We should be at the top of the conference and now we're trying to just get a playoff berth (within the top six in the league). In the past, we would be trying to win the league at this point. Now, we're just trying to get in (the playoffs). I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. I think the league is very, very strong. Looking at the Top 20, looking at some of the non-conference wins that the league has had against the ACC and the SEC, it's always exciting to see the league being recognized so well.

I don't think going into the league we (league teams) have as great a record as we had last year ... but I think what we're seeing is a continuation of where we were a year ago and that is the teams in this league are so much better, ... We're right on the edge. We're winning some. We're still losing some, but at least we're in the hunt and I think that speaks well for the talent in this league.

I've been in this league a long time and I never feel like the SEC is given its due. If you look around the country right now, there are leagues out there that are very top heavy, but there are not many out there that have the balance that our conference has. If you look at what some of our teams have done to quality opponents outside the league, it's pretty impressive.

We've been at the bottom of the league since I've been there. So for us to be a contender this year was a lot of fun. It was our first winning season in five years. And it was great to beat Hyde [Leadership of New Haven] twice. Of course, they beat us in the league playoffs, but we still had two wins.

This is one of the best league races around. Our league race is a dandy, as good as any league in the country.
