I don't have a problem with the city. I just don't want them stealing my land.
Joe Harrison
I think the big difference is the land in California. It is like trying to buy land in New York City. I think that's the problem (AEG) ran into. I want to believe that the ownership group pursued the stadium options during their time (in San Jose). I would expect that in three years time they truly believe they are going to get it done in Houston.
Craig Waibel
Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self. And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: / And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city: / And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah: / And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
Bible
And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: / He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
Bible
And Hamor and Shechem his son came unto the gate of their city, and communed with the men of their city, saying, / These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.
Bible
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
Bible
we will continue to see this government's policy of stealing (land) and wasting time.
Saeb Erekat
I don't think that Israelis should be rewarded [for] illegal practices of stealing Palestinian land.
Saeb Erakat
If the state would solve the problem for all 1.1 million city schoolchildren, there wouldn't be a problem for these children or other ones in the city.
Michael Rebell
That took care of it for a while but it came back. The city administration says it's the residents' problem; I say it's the city's problem.
John Wells
And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, / And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, / And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
Bible
We have a constant problem with people stealing signs.
Mark Matsunaga
The land trust is a tool we're using to ensure there isn't a lot of displacement as the city continues to grow. The community will always control the land and be able to ensure that property is affordable and that the land is used for the interest of the community.
Joe Gray
The problem isn't private transportation. The problem is that we have an old-fashioned 19th-century technology, the internal combustion engine using fossil fuels. Let's solve that problem -- maybe by creating small, fuel-efficient vehicles -- and stop talking about putting the city back into its 19th-century state to make mass transit work. Instead, let's see what people want to do, then see how the city can be built around them.
Robert Bruegmann
I think we were perceived as the big, bad city trying to take their land. It's not as if we were trying to annex. This land is nearly worthless without it being cleaned up. And it's only worth something if we work together to clean it up.
