Mark's put in a ordsprog

en Mark's put in a lot of work this year - whether it's in the weight room or putting in shots. Me and him do a good job of breaking the pressure.

en I think the thing he really needs to do to get better is put in more time in the weight room. Last year, we did a little bit of weight work with him. This year, we've tried to do a little more. He needs to get stronger.

en Robbie brings hard work to our wrestling team. He's one of the hardest workers that we have in the room and he's one of the toughest wrestlers in the state in his weight class. Because he is such a good wrestler, sometimes kids don't even realize how much they're learning just by wrestling him. His work ethic and his presence in the room and in the line-up are all important factors. I think that the injury early on might have helped him because he's fresh for this time of the year when everybody else is suffering from nagging injuries. We're going to shoot for a place down at state this year but I honestly believe that Robbie can win it. You have to set your goals high. I think he's learned from last year. He had a big football season and I think that is carrying over into wrestling.

en He can tell guys to hit the weight room because he's in the weight room. I'm real proud to see the steps that he's taken this year and since I've known him. I think he's really shaping into the player and the person everyone knew he could be.

en At that point I knew it was just Paul and me. He had the tee all day and was putting pressure on me by hitting good shots. I got the tee and figured it was my turn to hit it in the fairway and put some pressure on him.

en Our guys came out tight early, but then it was a game. Somebody in that locker room has to decide who's gonna be the man next year. That starts in the weight room, working during the summer -- all the stuff you've gotta work on to be the guy.

en I've been putting pressure on myself by just taking the long jump shots instead of getting to the basket. It's always good when (Hill) pulls you aside and talks to you. There's nothing negative. He's telling me what I can do to help my game and he's right. He told me he's going to work with me this summer and make me a better player.

en He hasn't made the strides that I'd like to see in the weight room. That's impossible. He's burning the candle at both ends. It's important that he has a very good summer in the weight room and get a little bit stronger.

en Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. They were more physical than we were and they had the height advantage. We have work to do for next year. It's going to take work in the weight room and in the off-season to make us a better team.

en For Colton, I think the offensive part of his game is going to be OK if he doesn't come in putting too much pressure on himself. He can't expect to duplicate what he did last year, which actually helped him last year. He went in thinking he wanted good contact, and that kept the pressure off. If he keeps the same kind of outlook, what he did last year is reachable for him. It really is.

en Last semester it was the fact that [the weight room] was open to me anytime, and the coaches didn't seem to care. Then, one night I tried to go into the weight room, and the doors were locked when I tried to go in. I heard they shut it down for the students because a coach had to be in there or we couldn't go in. I wrote an E-mail to Jan McDonald and Billy Watson expressing what I felt. They did their job because now [the weight room] is open.

en I've been putting too much pressure on myself all season to go out and score all the time. I have to lose some of that weight. If I just go out and play my hardest, good things will happen.

en Pressure for pressure. That was one of the things we talked about in the locker room. Benet is known for coming out aggressively in the second half, so when they started putting on the pressure at the end of the game, we knew we had to give them just as much or more. And that's what we tried to do.

en There's no way you can re-create that pressure. You can't do it on the range and can't do it on the putting green until you're out there. I absolutely had a ball. It's good to put yourself under pressure. Now I know what I need to work on.

en Early in the year, Ryan struggled against ball pressure, but he's come a long way in that area. Ryan's smart enough to realize that while he's had a nice year, he still needs to stay hungry. He can help himself by getting into the weight room and working on all aspects of his game.
