en I think the future is bright. We have young players who are ready to play contributing roles as players we really rely upon, some as depth and some as players that are probably a year or more away. I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year.

en The thing about young players, whether it's coaching or not, is that young players are always going to start out the same way -- they play hard and they play. That's who they are. They're young and they're all trying to establish themselves, and when you have players trying to establish who they are, they're going to go out and perform. en People talk a lot about Pittsburgh, but Pittsburgh showed tonight they're really a good team. They have so many skilled players, it's scary to face them.

en I think because they played so many young players, with those guys playing well, it reinforced the idea or notion that they are willing to play young players, that this is a team on the rise and built for the future. Those are some great positives to sell to recruits.

en Those type of players are blue-collar, gritty-type players. It's what we want here (at Pitt) and what the city (of Pittsburgh) wants. It affords us a very aggressive way to play the game.
