Daniel (Zamora) is just ordsprog

Daniel (Zamora) is just now rounding into form, but he adds a lot to what we do offensively. He goes to the basket strong and gives us some toughness.

I have to say it wasn't cut and dried that I picked him. I did think about it. Bobby Zamora is in good form and he wants to play,

Offensively, I thought we penetrated to the basket. We got them spread out and got some seams to the basket.

He can score offensively, but No. 1 he's a defensive stopper. You can stick him on 1s, 2s, 3s and some 4s and say, 'OK, let's go to work.' That overshadows his offensive game. Once he gets a defender going to the basket, he's tough to guard. And he can post up against some and create mismatches because he's so strong.

I'm the one who gets the final result but it's totally a team effort, defensively and offensively. Defensively we've been getting the job one and offensively we're scoring a lot of goals. That adds up to winning hockey.

He adds toughness and physical play, but the most important thing is that he can skate.

Shavlik is a little bit stronger than people think. He can rebound the ball in traffic. Offensively, he can put the ball down on the floor. Once he gets a 15- or 16-foot jump shot, I think he can be an effective player. I think people discredit his toughness. I think as he plays a little bit more, the toughness will come out, the ball skills will come out. Right now, he?s got to work on that jump shot.

It may not look like it, but he has an unbelievable inner toughness. It's not physical toughness when you get poked in the eye as much as it is mental toughness. He came out and played like it never happened. He was fearless.

We knew we had to come out and attack offensively. We have had a lot of gym time lately. I was a little more worried about the defense. I was very pleased with the defense. Offensively, we stepped up and played as a team. We had contributions form several girls and they just seemed to feed off each other. He gives us the ability to come off the bench and score in different ways, ... Post-ups, slashing to the basket and he brings a toughness to our defense. And he wants to win.

He's going to be a tough kid, even though he's only 6-4, he gives us a toughness at the basket. He knows how to block out, he knows how to position off the ball. I think his basketball aptitude is pretty good.

It's a family drama dealing with these people and about their lives. Talking to Jesus, it's really kind of what Daniel's imagination of what talking to Jesus really would be like, and it's fraught with all of Daniel's limitations. . . . It's literally the internal dialogue of Daniel.
