en Nobody believes me ... She goes through a very interesting journey in the film. One of the most challenging that I've ever done, from trying to keep it together and trying not to become hysterical, to as time goes by, and she starts fearing for her daughter's safety and what might be happening to her, and sort of leading herself in some ways to a kind of madness.

en I think we all kind of thought those would be the most fun, the fight scenes. And they were the most challenging. Physically exhausting and complicated and kind of very specific and intricate, so they just took a long time to film. I think that we all thought that we'd get to set, have a punch up and we'd get it on film and be wrapped, but it wasn't quite like that.

en I kind of got worried as to what he grabbed. I was getting a strange feeling from all that and I was kind of fearing for our safety. I didn't know what was going on.

en Quite a sight isn't it? It's madness, absolute madness. But in many ways, I guess, it's typical of the kind of decision making that has been a hallmark of this city. It's a shame. A crying shame.

en [The film puts Hoffman under a microscope.] I was drawn to the part because it shows Capote before he became a fool, ... It's a difficult line to walk. He starts the journey not knowing what is going to happen. It's a classic tragedy that has to unfold. I don't think he's aware of it. Something gets sparked and sets his imagination flying. He goes where it takes him. He needs to finish. He knows he will be a huge success. In the fourth and fifth year, he starts to want the two men dead. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. I didn't crucify him in my mind.

en We shot that first film $500 to $1,000 at a time. We would shut down and start up again several months later after we got another $1,000. And God bless our cast for sticking with us. Allison's daughter was in the film and she grew out of her wardrobe.

en Restoration I did because I really loved e novel and I like Michael Hoffman, who directed it, but it wasn't a really challenging part for me. I'm not critical of the film: I just don't think I gave a very interesting performance.
