They put everything they ordsprog

en They put everything they had into Thursday's game. Even though it wasn't back-to-back, to do two games in three days it's tough when your numbers are down.

en They played back-to-back games and four games in five days and, for them, there wasn't going to be any difference between the fourth game (and the first). You just don't get tired if you're in good shape.

en I listen to my sisters who are living in Georgetown with her. They said this is different. So I've been traveling back and forth and I thought at one point she would be able to battle back a little bit, but this one wasn't looking good. I went back up there (Tuesday), spent the evening with her and most of this morning. I feel very blessed that she's at peace now because the last 10 years was hard on her and the last two to three days were grueling. But she was very tough to the end.

en She's not up to playing back-to-back games. We'll make a game-day decision on Thursday. We'll err on the side of caution. One player shouldn't be the reason you win or lose.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. We put ourselves in this position to not play a Thursday (first?round) game. It's tough (playing three games in three days). We did that last year, so we know what it's like.

en I know we wrapped up the No. 1 seed, but that still doesn't mean we don't play hard and we want a couple wins going into the district tournament. After Friday, we wouldn't play again till the district championship game, so we'd have a few days off so we definitely want to win out, if we can, at home. I mean, they're going to be two tough games back-to-back.

en My back was all torn up. I don't think I even practiced until Thursday. That was the closest. It wasn't much of a streak then. It was only three or four games then.

en I think it is really important if you have any kind of vision for going to the championship game of the tournament because four days, four games is a very difficult task. It's been done, but at the same time, it's a lot easier if you have the chance to play three back-to-back games instead so I'm very proud of my team for finishing in the top four in the ACC.

en We talked about it a little bit, just jawing back and forth. He was telling me that he saw the game (against Jacksonville) Sunday on TV and he wasn't going to have any of that. It goes back to those old days.

en I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

en It was just one of those days. I started really well but she improved a lot in the second set. I managed to fight back well in the third set from 4-1, and the crowd really lifted me, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Some days you win these matches, some days you lose them. (Winning here) obviously wasn’t meant to happen this year. Hopefully I can come back next year and do better.

en I felt confident tonight, and hopefully that will continue. We have five really tough games coming up. Tomorrow night's game will be a tough one coming off a back-to-back. Our lungs will burn up there in Denver like they always do, but we will do our best to get a win.

en We had a couple of tough games back to back that we played well in and lost, and then a game we won 10-0 that I don't think really helped us. Maybe we came in overconfident. We just got outplayed.

en It's really nice to have the one game on both Saturday and Sunday because it can open up your pitching options for what you can do. We should be well rested with us not having the strain of playing two games on back-to-back days.

en The games that we've lost back to back, every one of them has been a tight game, with some one-goal losses in some tough buildings. I think (Sunday) we deserved what we got.
