I felt confident tonight, and hopefully that will continue. We have five really tough games coming up. Tomorrow night's game will be a tough one coming off a back-to-back. Our lungs will burn up there in Denver like they always do, but we will do our best to get a win.

It was frustrating. With the weather, we could've been in for a long night or coming back tomorrow. You're in two different mind-sets, but it was tough for both of us.

It's a good feeling, because it's a tough night going back with a loss this far from home. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness. They'll be able to sleep a little bit better and get up with a little more confidence about themselves coming in tomorrow.

It's tough to fight back like that and fall short. It's tough to see the seniors end their final game like this, but for us guys that are coming back, it looks like a bright road for us.

We felt we needed to come back home and get this win. It was a much-needed win after last night. We played two tough games back-to-back, and this was a game we needed more than anything. Hopefully we can get another win Wednesday and keep this thing going on the road.

It was in the back of our minds. But we knew we had a tough game coming up [Saturday night]. We were just focused on the game.

It was a tough game for me. It's a new experience for me coming back from the injury. My game is maybe not on the top right now but I felt pretty good anyway.

I know it's probably a tough game for them (to get up for). They've got some tough ACC games coming up and they have a team that's struggled all year coming into their gym.

In a way, this game was harder [than the Denver and Washington games]. There was a lot of pressure in this game, especially coming off last week. Offensively, the pressure was coming up with the points. Defensively, it was 'can you stop this team?' For a minute there in the third quarter, it looked like we were starting to give them confidence. If you do that, they can come back and win.

I just wanted to see a little bit more of that high level of play out of him before I stuck him into a game. Any game was going to be a tough game. This was an especially tough game. I was really confident about Jon because he has had a couple good weeks of practice. I knew his rhythm was back, his timing was back and his focus was back. I was not surprised. I knew he was ready.

I don't usually call a lot of timeouts. I like to keep the game going. I just felt like the way our kids were playing all night tonight, especially defensively, I thought we could get back into the game. We have been a little impatient the last couple of games, but we did a nice job tonight. We took care of the basketball and got back into it.

When he first got hurt, he said he was coming back for the bowl game. I said, yeah, he'll be there because he said he would. Tough guy, tough guy. It shows he's a tough guy, being that small, playing at this level and playing as well as he does. That shows you right there he's that tough.

I think it's always a little bit of a bittersweet feeling, I guess. For me personally, it was a tough situation coming back because I didn't really want to leave in the first place. So coming back, obviously, a lot of memories came through. I think it'll be probably the same for Brian.

We couldn't wait to get to tonight's game because we felt that Roncalli loss devastated us. We had a lot of kids coming back and they really wanted to show that they are going to come back this season and play their hearts out, and especially doing it in the first game.

Tonight and tomorrow are going to be tough, but we've got to move on. We've got 15 more games and they come quick, real quick. We can't sit here and sulk because we've got a good football team coming in here next week.
