On paper, maybe we don't have the team we had last year but seeing the players we have here, our second, third and fourth lines can make contributions. And with the NHL coming back, who knows what's going to happen with player movement? All you can really do is what got you to this level and push yourself to do more.

I think you'll see a lot more offense from us this year. We have so many veterans coming back. Our speed has increased. None of our four lines will be weak or easy to cover. Contributions can come from all four lines.

Repeating as Central Division champions is one of our major objectives for the coming year and we have a solid nucleus of players that knows what it takes to make that happen. There isn't a player on this team that won't go out of their way to help a teammate in need, to accomplish that goal. It is the Thunder way.

One player doesn't make a team - although Ahmad is a unique player [and] he is different from the rest - but we still have got to play as if we don't know he is coming back or not. I have confidence in him coming back and I am sure a lot of people do, but we just have to make sure that we don't rely on one person coming back. We have to play as if we never know if he is coming back or not.

I know what it takes to win, and it's up to each individual player to make that happen. We have to earn the right to be a good team. We have several returning players that got a lot of experience as sophomores and juniors, and we have four new players coming in that want to get things done. Hopefully, that will be infectious.

All these players were on the field for extended minutes last year. Of course, this year their roles are going to change. We need players to step up and make considerable contributions. We're not going to be relying on just one player to carry us. We've got to get solid play all around the field.

We think consumer spending will go back to the kind of level we expected for the fourth quarter before [the attacks] happened, and that level was not one of great strength. We were thinking that it might be 2 to 3 percent above last year on a same-store basis, and last year was pretty bad. We would be coming off a weak base.

It's a nice plus having her back. She's a four-year player and with that, comes a lot of experience. With this being her fourth year, it should just add to her comfort level and it should bring out her best.

We are able to make this commitment because we have confidence in our betting lines - we're not waiting to see how lines open, we're setting the markets. Everybody bets, but the more time we can give our players to consider their positions the better. Posting our betting lines the afternoon before next day's game provides our customers with a real edge. And our in-game betting takes the action to a whole other level, although it can be tough to type while jumping up and down screaming for your team!

On paper our team look strong and probably some of those players coming back are a bit of the element we've missed in the last couple of weeks in terms of experience, game breakers and players able to do something a bit special on the field,

He's real impressive. His skill level and his skating level are incredible. I think that he's a special player, but I don't think there is much extra pressure on him right now. I think right now he's able to find his own level because we are competent back there. We have good players back there so he's going to be able to develop at the proper pace. But when you have a player who is that strong, everybody gets excited. And I think we are all feeling like this is a terrific opportunity for him and the franchise.

We want to make that happen, but we want Fort Wayne to put a USHL team in the city, and that way we could throw it back at you. My thoughts are that if Indy is ever going to have another team at the pro level, it won't be me who is involved in it. The only thing I'm interested in are the American Hockey League or this level, and I don't think this market can support an AHL team.

For me, I started thinking about next year there in the fourth. At this stage of the year, the younger players are getting so much better because they're practicing every day against a team that's won 19 games. That's a wonderful thing to be around. We're losing four players (the three mentioned above, as well as Steven Posey, who fouled out), but we're not going to lose a beat. We won't allow it to happen. The younger kids have to be ready to step in.

Amy will be playing a big role. All of the distance swimmers will be coming back next year and with her contributions it should make for a good season.

By coming back this year, he's really made it worthwhile. And we all need to sit back and admire it because it won't happen for a long time after this. I think what he is doing this season, all of us ? players, coaches and media in particular ? should really savor. He's having ... a year for the ages.
