We found a way to win and that's the main thing. I don't like the way that we let them comeback, but we did find a way to win. Blake Roberts came in at the end and shut them down for two innings.

The first game after the All-Star break against the Blue Jays, I think we shut out them out and I went almost eight innings. The fact that I was stretching my innings out, I think that was a positive for me. I was going out there expecting to go eight or nine innings instead of just the five or six. I had the mentality of going eight or nine last year. The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness.

I don't know who mentioned William Blake first, but Allen talked about his visions of Blake and I told him about my dreams of being Blake.

That's one thing we want to do this year, start off solid right away. It took a while last year to find our identity. A lot of it had to do with the new defense. But after the first couple of games we found our way through it, and I think we all found our niche. We found our roles and fed off everyone else.

The main thing is he's been able to answer the bell. His fastball is up to 93 miles per hour. The Class AAA innings and production at that level are what we're looking for.

The biggest thing is we found our groove defensively. I think we really shut them down.

We are behind Blake 100 percent. This is not an uncommon step for a player of Blake's caliber. We are assisting Blake and his family throughout every step of this decision-making process.

The fact that Robert Blake wants a do-over doesn't mean that he's entitled to one. The fact that Mr. Blake is not happy about his legacy is something Mr. Blake should have thought of before he killed his wife.

The main thing is he found a way to get us a win. That was the main thing.

His stamina would be the main thing. We need to see if he can go out and throw 90 pitches. We need him to get us to the point, like any of the starters, to get us to the bullpen. But we have Esteban Yan and we have Kevin Gregg to give us innings if we need.

They were expecting trouble and hell, but nothing happened and he kissed his son.

We felt like Blake is much better prepared mentally, physically. He's had an excellent summer working out, and it's clear to all of us here that he's our best guy to go out there. Back-ups we don't know yet, we're trying a lot of guys right there. But Blake's earned it and he's our starter.
