A lot of people had something to say about us not being as good as we're supposed to be. But if you can advance 14 guys to the regions, it's a pretty big accomplishment.

I tip my hat to San Diego, they had a first-place season. Our guys, to get to this point from where we were, was a pretty good accomplishment. But it wasn't good enough, and I was just proud of my guys.

It is the way that it is supposed to be. Your top two hitters get on, and the 3-4-5 guys drive them in. We have lost some tough games, and we were pretty much blown out the last two days. It was good to see our guys come back and battle.

Not bad for a mom and pop shop. It feels like we've still got a long way to go but it's a good accomplishment because a lot of people own stuff and they put out one movie and you never see them again or they put out a few but to get to fifty on our own, is pretty good.

I think that he was pretty much doing what he was supposed to do, but he didn't make good enough pitches, I guess, to get guys out.

The advance is on the heels of good economic numbers this morning. Chicago PMI in particular took people by surprise. You also had some good earnings news from Disney and Honeywell, ... That turned the dollar around, which in turn pushed some of the geopolitical issues on the back burner. For a Friday, this is pretty good.

I thought it was a very good game. Both teams played hard, and both teams pitched well and, for the most part, played pretty good defense. We had some opportunities with guys on base; we just couldn't get the bunt down to advance the runner.

Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.

That's a pretty great accomplishment, I'm pretty excited about it. Now I've got three more guys in front me. Definitely, it's a goal of mine to try to get as high as I possibly can. Being in New Jersey helps me a great deal.

We all just kinda did everything we thought we were supposed to do and girls dated the guys they were supposed to and did things with the guys they were supposed to.

We have to have a different mind-set - that was established today in our meetings, ... I think our players took hold of it and did a good job of practicing. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. It was a pretty fast practice, guys moving around where they were supposed to go.

This won't be so much an accomplishment for our team as it is an accomplishment for the entire organization. This team hasn't relied on two or three guys. It's been everybody. When guys went down, others stepped up. No one here has just been along for the ride.

If I can add those things to what I feel is a pretty good repertoire, I can even become better. You?re not supposed to get better now, you?re supposed to get older and start to decline. I don?t see it. I see the exact opposite.

It's almost habitual. When the guys are watching other players who have been there, you kind of pick up the sense of where you are supposed to be and what you're supposed to do and all those good things.
