en It's going to be quite a loss not to have Chad here, but he's done a great job of training us all and hopefully we can be out on the track and perform as if he were here.

en I had always liked track in high school but it just happened (that I) excelled in football (more) than I had in track. I wouldn't say the injury put me on the right track ? it had me down for awhile because I was enjoying football at the time ? but I guess things happen for a reason, so who knows. Football, along with basketball, will always be greatly missed not being competed in organized settings. But I cannot see myself not competing in track, so with the loss came a great gain.

en I think Chad is a great competitor. I think he's a hard worker. I think he's smart, and I respect all the things Chad has done. I haven't talked to any of the doctors. I haven't sat down with Chad. So until I do that, I won't really feel comfortable commenting any further.

en Chad hounded me for while out there and I was just sticking to my lines. As the track wore out it just got harder and I knew that it would be harder for Chad to get by me. We got our back against the wall and I'm going to try to win every race from here on out.

en Training hard was not just going to the track at 3:30 and running hard. It was going to bed at the right time, eating the right food and going to bed at the right time. Training was all day long. Track became my life. It really became more of a science to me. Track literally became when to get up, what to eat and when to go to bed.

en I just want to thank Chad for building this team the way he has. This job is very hard. Chad has always done a great job and he has trained me very well.

en It feels great to come out with the win, especially with Chad throwing a no-hitter. Chad pretty much stepped up and did a tremendous job. He walked only one batter all day and we had no defensive errors.

en It's like a train's been derailed and we're trying to get it back on track. You can't have high morale with loss, after loss, after loss.

en I was not focused on trying to beat Chad. Chad is one person in the field. There are lots of others out there trying to win medals besides me and Chad.

en I knew what made him tick. Most people, when they get mad, they don't perform as well. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. Chad is the exception to that. It motivates him.

en Talk to your driver, Chad, ... He knocked me all over the track.

en It's a challenge to do track here in the early spring. Right now, we're still training on the street. A lot of the freshmen have never really been on a track before and they don't know the markings yet.

en He's the best horse in the race, and I don't think I should be worried. I mean, he's training super. He's doing great. We just have to find out how well he will handle a fast track, and I think he will do that fine.

en If there is anyone who can wake up that sleeping giant, it's Chad Singleton. It's a loss for us.

en It was different in 2002 because we were in the United States. It was our home track and we had been training on that track for years. But I think we've been having some excellent runs these last few days so I'm ready. I think we are going to do really well.
