He's just got to get to where he can throw other pitches for a strike, especially behind in the count.

My feeling is never count on an arbitrator or courts, ... You may think you know how it will come out but don't count on it. A strike you can count on because you only call a strike when you know you can win.

Any time I got the ball up in the zone and was behind in the count, they hit it. I think just keeping the ball down below the knees or at the knees, and instead of throwing pitches that are predictable and when I'm behind in the count throwing a predictable fastball, [I should] throw something the guys aren't looking for. I think a lot of it for me now is I'm able to execute a lot of my pitches. It's just a matter of figuring out what they're looking for. Over time, since I've seen the hitters more, I've gotten better about doing that.

Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. We have to start laying off some pitches. We were swinging at pitches that were way out of the strike zone. We can't strike out 13 times and expect to win. We need to be more disciplined at the plate.

Their starting pitcher had two really tough pitches. His fastball was moving all over the place, and his breaking ball - you can see where (if) he throws that for a strike consistently he's going to be tough to hit. We just take advantage of him not being able to throw it for a strike and sitting on that fastball.
