When I leave the game of baseball someday, I want people to recognize that I always put my teams first,

But for the most part, we have concluded when we looked at this profile that we needed to recognize that we are not baseball guys. His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. We are baseball fans and we have a passion for the game. I've been one in my life that has wanted to become associated with people who were experts and then were given the responsibility and authority to act on their expertise. For the most part, that's what we're going to do.

You can't leave such serious allegations on the public record without having them addressed. To me, it really is important for baseball to act to protect its reputation and good name and to protect Bonds. I don't know what the facts are here, what the truth is. If I were Bonds, I would want it done, and if I were the commissioner, I would want it done. Otherwise, people will lose confidence in the game, and the world will never leave Bonds alone.

Both teams played great baseball. Two days ago we told everyone to wait patiently for today's game... This is what Cuban baseball is all about. Our players wanted to come back strong after losing in a mercy rule game and they came through.

I had a lot of patients leave, a lot of employees leave. And I coach an 18-22 (year-olds) baseball team, and a lot of them have been leaving, too. I know I can do a better job than those people (who are in office).

Seeing Sammy out of baseball for now is really sad. I think he has enough power to do something for baseball, for someone. I'm surprised no one gave him a chance. This is a guy who brings a lot of fans to the field. This is a guy who can turn any game around any time. But this is baseball. People don't believe he can do it anymore.

This was a great high school baseball game. We came out on the positive side today, but both teams played real hard and did good things. It was just an exciting high school baseball game.

I think most people see their homes as somewhat transitory, and they're almost resigned about it. Say you have a house that's worth $1.3 million. Is it a reasonable expectation that you'll ever pay it off? Probably not. The most people hope for is that someday they'll sell it for a profit or leave it to the kids, who might have to sell it but will maybe make a little money.

It was a great game. For us, the fact that we won makes the result great, but it was a great hockey game. Both teams had their moments where they had to fight from behind and it was decided by a good, clean goal in overtime. It's very easy to recognize the will of the players on both teams to play with everything in the tank.

I think this will be cyclical. I don't believe that it will sustain itself. I think, ultimately, people who own baseball teams are going to want a more balanced approach in the person who they name as the leader of their baseball operations, the general manager, rather than someone who's just bright and knows statistics.

It wasn't just a love of the game but a love of the people in the game that he'll be remembered for. Most of my close friends are out of baseball but most of Tom's are in baseball and it will take decades for people to think of anyone else as the voice of the Blue Jays.

I've seen some greats leave the game. You never want to see them leave and you'd rather see them leave on their terms and leave on top. It's not over with yet. You don't know if somebody is going to offer Sammy a job here soon or what is going to happen. But Sammy has been one of the great players of the game for a long time and a guy who meant a lot to Chicago and a lot to the game. ... I just hope he gets a job somewhere.

This game will have a playoff atmosphere with a lot of alumni returning to watch both teams. The only difference is there will be some baseball left to play for both teams instead of the season being over for the losing team.

Get him out of that suit and you'd be surprised at how many people don't recognize him -- especially if he's in jeans, a baseball cap and sunglasses, which is what he normally wears on his day off.

Obviously, locker rooms were made to handle baseball teams and football teams, not crowds of 20,000 to 25,000 people.
