Don't write off the ordsprog
Don't write off the crop until you have a chance to scout for cold damage.
Jim Shroyer
Upside potential will probably be limited if we're basing it just on the cold temperatures until we get a more accurate assessment of whether damage did actually take place. We've seen this wheat crop too many times - we've 'killed' it and it turns around and comes back stronger than ever.
Shawn McCambridge
Miserere ... You know I don't want to be a talent scout, but sometimes when I find someone very talented and very unique and different, if it's possible to give him a chance, why not? I'm very happy and very proud to find someone young -- a great musician or singer that I can write a song for and help him in a way.

Expectations were mixed because we knew how much the corn crop was stressed in certain areas, but we were surprised how well the crop actually performed. Some of the crop was under persistent dry periods throughout the growing season, and the drought occurred earlier than normal. Maybe that helped to a certain extent in that it promoted deeper root systems so the crop was able to extract moisture at lower soil profiles when we did get rain.
Peter Thomison
There's enough humidity in the crop that I don't think it would have caused any damage.
Bill Chapman
This is a great chance for boys to advance in rank. Most of the local Boy Scout troops are small, and this university gives them a chance to benefit from several adults with varied expertise.
Chuck Robinson
The rains have caused huge damage to our crops. Almost 95 percent of the crop is damaged. Nothing is left.

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; / I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Bible
It's very hard to teach someone how to write a song if to begin with there's no creative crop to harvest.

Get some of those old-crop beans sold, get some of the new-crop beans sold. We do see some producers selling some added old-crop and new-crop corn.
Joe Victor
We seemed to vacillate all season between hot and cold weather, but we warmed up for a nice long fall, and that really helped finish out the crop.
Denise McWilliams
We're all still speculating about crop damage, a week after the hurricane, ... From what I've been able to determine, the biggest losses in Mississippi will be from the poultry and catfish industries.
Thomas Gregory
About all we'll be able to do is retroactive studies on humans, in nine or 10 years, looking back at this crop of teen-agers who've been using Ecstasy and assessing if damage has been done to their brains,
Glen Hanson
On warm days, the plants start to come out of dormancy, only to get whacked by cold nights. Open winters can cut an alfalfa crop in half. I really like his character. I think he's a real solid kid. All the attributes you'd say a boy scout has, he has. I don't even know if he's a boy scout, but he's honest, he's trustworthy and he's easy to talk to.
