I still think we can be the best team in the league. There's a thin edge at this time of the season. But with five home games remaining, we've still got a lot to shoot for.

Any speculation regarding Gary Waters' future as head coach of the Rutgers men's basketball team is just that. We have four very important regular season games remaining and all of our focus and attention should be on those remaining games.

We would even give up one of our guaranteed home games next season and go to Maryland. To have an ACC team in our building the following season, and the respect I have for Coach Williams, it would be an honor for our league.

Outfielder Henry Rodriguez was selected after winning the regular season batting title and setting a new Ducks single season record for home runs. Even if the Arena is operable, it still may be impossible to play games in New Orleans for some time. The team and the league are exploring alternate sites for holding training camp and home exhibition games, if necessary.

I think that this time of the year, the athletes are fatigued. They have gone through a long, grueling season already, and I think the home-ice advantage is even more of an edge than it is during the regular season. Especially when you are considering a series and everything that's on the line, I think the home-ice advantage is so much more of a factor now than it is during the regular season.

With five games remaining, we just need to tighten up a few things. The schedule has been a grind. Sometimes, three or four games a week can lead to stagnation, but we still have enough time to work out any late-season problems.

With only seven home games in conference this season, each win is precious. For us to come out and get a win over the defending league champion, it is especially big. Chattanooga has a talented and athletic team. I'm very proud of what our guys accomplished tonight. We just want to put an emphasis on getting better, period. Obviously, teams that win in this league usually have a better record at home than they do on the road. So, yeah, it's been a point of emphasis. But at the same time, before you can win games at home, you've got to improve your football team. We have made some strides.

We tried to schedule some home games out of conference this season, but no schools were willing to come in here to play with the team we have coming back. Porter Arena is a tough place to play. Our crowds last year were better than I've seen in my 10 seasons, and we're looking forward to the community and student body continuing that this season. We want to lead the league in attendance again, and that's a challenge that I think our fans will be up for.

It's a constant adjustment. Every day you're in the league you appreciate it more and more. Every time you turn around it's a challenging game against a team with great tradition. You don't find many blowouts. We've been fortunate to have things go our way in close games. We're going to be in a lot of close games the rest of the season.

Although we are on the road for much of November, December and part of January, if we can pick up some early road wins it will certainly help to have home-court advantage down the stretch, especially having five league games at home and traveling for just three in February and March. With the strength of every team in our league, there is no letting down and every game has to be treated with a championship effort.

These are must-win games for us. We need to win three, if not all four, of our remaining league games if we want to have a shot at the playoffs. We know we need to win, and we are not taking this weekend for granted.

This is a pretty tight league and if we can win our three remaining matches this would see us shoot up the table, so the incentive is there for us to perform today.

I think you have to win your home games in this league. I think this win establishes us as a good team. I only want to be concerned with stepping forward, playing better and getting contributions. I think the other teams in the league recognize it. ... Should we have some more wins, no doubt about it.
