I think that this time of the year, the athletes are fatigued. They have gone through a long, grueling season already, and I think the home-ice advantage is even more of an edge than it is during the regular season. Especially when you are considering a series and everything that's on the line, I think the home-ice advantage is so much more of a factor now than it is during the regular season.

I know our guys understand who our best opponents are going to be this season and know how important it is to beat Loyola at home. The goal we've set this season is to win the regular-season championship. Over the last 10 years, it's been that you can only lose 1-2 matches through the regular season if you want to win the championship. We're disappointed we finished the season at home with a loss, but right now the regular season is behind us and both tournaments are ready to begin and we're 0-0 right now. We're not done yet, but it's time to get moving.

This time of year, it doesn't matter. You find whatever ounce in you and go. This doesn't happen often. Last year, I was home for a good three weeks [after missing the playoffs]. This is better. If we wanted to play at home, we should have been better in the regular season.

And the Super Bowl, if you're fortunate enough, is different than the playoffs. Now we enter the second phase of this thing.
