There's no question that broadband growth will slow over time. But what we're seeing now is providers using aggressive pricing to entice new customers.

Existing broadband users were the early adopters who used to pay for the dial-up wait and they got impatient with it, which is why they switched over to broadband, ... We see a slowing down in broadband growth partly because most of the low-hanging fruit of early adopters have been harvested by broadband providers.

The question is do we make (the service) available to all broadband customers or only BT broadband customers? I suspect we'll first provide it to BT customers.

At best, they hold on to the customers they already have but are required to cut pricing due to the intense competition -- meaning revenues go down. Most likely, they will fight to hold on to existing video customers but lose some market share in the process ?- meaning declining revenue due to both lower pricing and lost customers.
