Since I've been at ordsprog

Since I've been at Central this is the most I've gotten out. Last year we only got outside three times before our first game.

We will have played four different teams three times this year. We played Freedom, Newton-Conover and Alexander Central three times, and now South Caldwell.

(Against Shea) we were competitive for a half. Now we'll play Central in the first game of the year and you'd better buckle it up because Central is probably as good as anybody we're going to play.

A lot of times they (Central) were one-and-done on the offensive side. Central's a good team. If they get a lot of second and third shots, they're going to make them. They didn't because we rebounded so well.

Unfortunately, we finished one game short of where we wanted to be. The seniors did a nice job with the situation they had. They had a new coach come in pretty late in the game. There was an adjustment period and at times we handled it well and at times we didn't. We have a great group of younger guys coming up. Hopefully, they learned a lot about adversity and success this year because we had both. Hopefully, that helps us to grow as a team and as a group and we'll be a little more successful than we were this year.

This time of year, the aesthetics of the game don't really matter to me. We won the game a number of times, we lost the game a number of times. We made the plays when we had to.

My senior year at Central (1971-72) was the last year of Central High School.

Greg carried us the whole game. He just took it upon himself. This is his senior year, his last home game at Battle Creek Central and he was determined not to let us lose.

The U.S. economy is very resilient and the Fed will raise rates at least two more times next year. The presence of oil money and foreign central banks has put a cap on long-term yields.

We put ourselves in this position. It was a credit to our guys to get into the tournament and a credit to how well we played at times this year, but Central was a tough draw.

Obviously, the game plan has got to be to try to take the other four guys out and let Mike (Tisdale) get his. It worked three times this year and 27 times it didn't. Unfortunately, it worked (this game).

I like our bracket, we match up well with West Fargo and then there's Minot (20-2) and Grand Forks Central (14-8). Even though we lost to Minot both times this year, if we play well we can beat them.

Everything that happened in the past we've let go, we've moved on. Ever since Central last year, this is what we've been waiting for and it's finally here, so we're trying to prove ourselves all over again. Show everybody that we've got a new side and just try to work to get back Central. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. You're never gonna win on the road turning it over as many times as we did. We turned it over 27 times and that's the most turnovers I think we've had all year in a game.

(Central Falls) has everyone back this year. We beat them last year early in the season, then they had some injuries. This is a big game. They may be the team to beat.
