It was a tough ordsprog

It was a tough loss. But there's a lot of baseball to be played, and they've got a bunch of games to make up.

This is the fifth year I've played baseball. But I've been to a bunch of Austin Peay basketball games. This is my second baseball game and I just like to come to watch.

The best thing about baseball is that there are so many situations that can occur. It was a tough loss but I think the guys will be fine. We have a whole lot of games left and I know we have the makeup of an excellent team.

This was a tough, tough loss. We had a couple of close games that we were lucky to win. Now the players can either fall down or make this into a learning experience.

It's a really disappointing loss in that had we won, we would have kind of assured ourselves that our worst place would be third. Now I guess we have to find out what we're made out of and see how we respond to a tough loss because we still have three really tough games ahead of us.

It was a tough loss and a hard fought game. It was a very competitive game. I thought it was very fitting the way the game ended. We had so many close games all season long. We won a bunch of them in that fashion.

I don't think [the loss] is devastating. It's a tough loss but I think we played hard. For the most part, we played well, especially in the first half.

It's tough after any loss. That was a loss at home, it was to the No. 2 team in the country and it was a loss when we had opportunities to win. And on top of that, it was a loss to Duke. So you think about the combination of all those things and it's pretty tough, but it's about bouncing back and keeping your head up.

We talked about how Wauconda was a tough loss and how Woodstock was one of the worst games we played. Win or lose against Barrington, we were going to Consolation C, so we just relaxed and had fun. The kids are enjoying themselves.

It's a shame that one of the teams had to lose. Butternut played their hearts out. The last time we played them we beat them at the buzzer. These are balanced teams with our loss of (Randall) Walker. We're pretty even teams. It's tough to play two double-overtime games in a row.

Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. Most baseball people will tell you that trying a two-out bases-loaded squeeze is not a good baseball play. But I knew after the tough 9-6 loss we had Friday night against Blake, we needed a jump-start to get going, and Ricky placed the bunt perfectly to the right of the mound to leg it out for a hit.

We were 3-13, so you expect changes in coaching and in personnel. I'm proud that the team did fight. It wasn't like we had a bunch of Green Bay games (a 523 loss on Oct. 9). We lost three or four games as the clock ran out, and even today was a good game.

It's not something we really talk about, but they definitely know that's the first loss we've ever had in this league. It's definitely hard for them. It's a tough loss right now, but I'm hoping it makes them stronger in some of our games coming up.

This isn't July, so do the math. If San Diego plays .500 ball, we can only lose five more games the rest of the year. It's going to be kind of tough. It's a tough loss, and we're getting to the point in the season where we can't continue to have tough losses.

The past two games, we've played five innings of good baseball. They continued to put pressure on us, and we just didn't make the plays.
