I thought our bench did a fantastic job. Those players kept us going without any letdown, and they can be commended for that. It was a real good opportunity to get them in the game because they've been mostly our practice players.

This game had a lot of similarities to our whole year. It was a young team coming off a big win over a good team [a 3-2 overtime victory Friday at Detroit], then a letdown. In a game like this, your best players have to be your best players, and tonight they weren't.

My focus is totally on this game and that is my only concern. But it is only right that the club should be looking to try to get things sorted for next season. This is such a tight battle with nine or 10 teams that are neck and neck. Coming home is big for us. We can't afford a letdown. A lot of times when you're on the road for a period of time, you come back and have a letdown for a game or two.

I don't know if this (streak) is any different this time around or not. How long this will last? I don't even know if we can think about that. Our focus has to be on what's going on right now. Right now we're playing well and the only concern we can have is our next game. We can't look beyond that. We won our last game, but that's over. All we can do is look ahead one game.

There is always a concern going into every game. There was concern coming into tonight's game, and there will be concern going into Friday's game. You can always find something to work on, and these kids know they need to continue to get better if they want to win.

There are things we need to work on and we have the rest of the season to work on these areas. Our focus is towards sectionals. If we learn something from each game that we play, we have accomplished something and we just need to implement that into our every day play. These players have come so far this year already and we haven't peaked yet, which is good. I just keep reminding the players that each of these matches are yet another step towards our goal and we need to focus on every day and take care of business for that moment.

Martina is a great champion. But when you're out there, you just focus about what you have to do and not think about who you're playing. When you're younger, you're more aware of who your opponent is. But as you get more experience and you play the best players, you don't think about that. You just focus on the ball and on the game.

Sometime when you're playing a team that's not so strong, you tend to have letdown. I was concerned about that against Fairview, which lost a lot of players to graduation. But we really came ready to play tonight. I didn't see anything that upset me in any phase of the game and that's probably the first time I could say that this season.

It's a letdown right now. Any time you go into a game, and you sell out and you lose, it's a letdown. ...They knew Ithaca wasn't going to lie down. They respect Ithaca, their program and what their coaches do. They knew they had to go out there (after halftime) and play hard for 30 more minutes and they did that. The reality is there can always be a letdown in the back of your mind. But we came out, and I immediately knew there wasn't going to be a letdown.
