The [Judge's] denial was Sun's position in the language [of the agreement] that the court basically supported our position. We're pleased with the court's ruling and we think it's encouraging that this ruling will be very helpful when we move towards the counter-claims, which will show that Sun, not Microsoft, violated this contract and Sun failed to deliver the technology it was required to do under the contract.

We are not going to change our position and will appeal the court's ruling to suspend the hearings of our suit. We will announce exactly when the ruling will be appealed and why later.

Microsoft is appealing the District Court's preliminary ruling because Microsoft does not believe any preliminary injunction should have been ordered. We are confident that Microsoft has developed the best Java implementation within the terms of our contract with Sun and in the best interests of Java developers and consumers.

Terri is in a persistent vegetative state and the court found as such, ... There are no treatments or therapies that can help her and the judge's ruling supports that position.

The ruling confirms the pattern of judgments supporting the University's position and the original jury verdict that Microsoft infringed on our patented technology and should provide fair compensation for its use in their products.

Today's ruling by the Court is a vindication of our position, of course, but more importantly I feel it is a vindication of a person's right to counsel. While the Son of Sam Law services to reserve assets for crime victims the Court recognized that his important purpose of the law must yield in this instance to allow a person to have experienced counsel particularly in a serious lawsuit such as this.
