He got it, ... It was the best option to the minor leagues we had all year. He went down and figured out that he's not a Punch-and-Judy slap hitter. He can hit with some power.

Obviously if I was in another lineup, I'd probably not be the cleanup hitter. So for me, personally, it's kind of an honor. I'm glad they feel confident in me to put me in that position. For me, it's just exciting to be in the big leagues opening up. Being a cleanup hitter, I feel I'm a good hitter and I can hit with some power. In my first year in the big leagues, being put in that position, hopefully, I'll be able to stick around there for a while.

The leadership they bring is so important. Michelle is a good hitter, and she has a little bit of power. Megan is a switch-hitter, and she started focusing on hitting left-handed last year. She can bunt, slap and hit for power. She has speed, and that's why she's on the left side.

They are the two guys who can beat you.

I played with him two years in the minor leagues. He always was a good hitter. Always, man.

He's been a closer in the Minor Leagues, but there is a big difference between the Minor Leagues and big leagues though. We're not putting any pressure on him to say he's going to be the closer. Right now, we just hope he pitches well enough to make the club.

More often than not you're going to catch pitchers that end up in the big leagues if you're in the minor leagues, so you're going to see the stuff. If I did anything to be given a shot this year, then my goal is not to lose it. I've seen that shuttle too many years from the big leagues to the minor leagues, a hot year followed by a not-so-hot year.

They had just been named the worst organization in all the minor leagues by Baseball America . I was 23, and I figured I could turn things around and make a name for myself. I quickly discovered otherwise.

J.J. is going to hit some home runs. He's not a Punch-and-Judy hitter. Both of the home runs he has hit (this week) have been big for us.

To show the power he's shown in the big leagues at this early stage, frankly, is remarkable. You do expect a power hitter to strike out, and I think that's something we're going to have to deal with in the long haul.
