Our transition game went well. We passed to the open man for the best shot possible. We also had 18 assists.

We?d like her to shoot more, to be honest with you. She wants to pass first. I can remember getting on her in our last game because she had a wide-open shot and passed it up.

We've got to be patient, and we've got to stay together and play together. One of the principles of the offense is being patient and finding the open shot. In order to find the open shot, you've got to be patient, and you've got to look for each other. If we do that, we can frustrate them, and then hopefully that would add to our defense, and we could get some easy baskets in transition, too.

I really like his game. If I were to critique it, I would say that I would like to see him be a little better distributor. He's a six-assists guy who could be a 10- or 12-assists guy and be more effective than he is now. And I think when he makes that next step . . . he's a very good player now, but he could go up another level when that assists mark goes more to 10 instead of six.

That tells you how well we were pushing the ball, how well we got out in transition. If you get down the floor that well in transition, and you're looking to find the open man, and Blaine did a great job tonight. He had 11 first-half assists that we had counted. That's just huge. Blaine did a great job of seeing the floor and getting the ball to who needed it tonight.

We played so much better defensively in the second half. We only allowed two field goals for NYA and we passed the ball well, getting 17 assists in the game.

We built that lead up to 21, and then we fell into the classic fool's gold. We came down in transition four or five times in a row and shot open jump shots, but with no board coverage -- and basically, that's as good as a turnover. We let them gain momentum and get right back into the game.

He got up and down the floor. He got some open looks in transition. He really excels in the game in transition. He didn't play very well the last game and he wanted to play a little bit better tonight.

When you play Iowa State, you can't turn it over a lot. We had 18 turnovers but we had 22 assists. I thought that was a big factor, that we passed the ball pretty well all night long and got pretty good open looks and pretty easy shots.

What won the game for us, we finally got some stops. They were shooting lights out. This team is hard for us to guard. They hit shot after shot after shot. When we got stops, that allowed us to get out in transition.

Travis took advantage of them laying back in the lane. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. He shot it in the set-up game, and he shot it in transition. He was outstanding.

I had that same shot earlier in the game -- I think I had it twice -- but I passed it up. I have confidence in that shot.

We really see the floor well. We look ahead and when people are open we can hit them with the pass ..When we?re getting more assists in a game obviously we?re playing better than if we?re just ..trying to do it ourselves.

We turned down some open shots, so we need to be aggressive. Being aggressive is taking an open shot. We're better when we run, and we haven't been aggressive enough in transition.

He's close to being a volume shooter. As I see his game . . . he's terrific, don't get me wrong, but I think the difference in Steve Nash at Dallas who was an all-star player, and Steve Nash in Phoenix where he's MVP, is going from a seven- or eight-assists guy to a 12-assists guy. That's the little subtle change that I think he could make. If I had the skills of T.J. Ford, I wouldn't be satisfied with six assists.
