We really see the floor well. We look ahead and when people are open we can hit them with the pass ..When we?re getting more assists in a game obviously we?re playing better than if we?re just ..trying to do it ourselves.

She is so quick and you can?t teach quickness. She causes havoc because she?s all over the place. That?s why she?s all-conference as a freshman. It allows us to play defense the way we want to play it. She plays hard all the time and never lets up.

The first time you experience it everything is all new. The second time as a coach you know all the little things that are different. A lot of coaches going for the first time have called me asking what they need to know, what can they tell their kids to expect that?s different. It was much more relaxing for me this time. It took the kids some time to see what they were doing. The kids stepped up and were able to get some steals after the way they started. It was really a little scary.

We're small and quick and don't have a lot of size. Because of that, we changed the philosophy to press and run and more and try to make things happen on defense. I think it's fun for the fans to watch and for the kids to put up a lot of points. The kids are talented enough to read the game and do some things.

It's a little scary. As quick as you get a lead, you can give it away but it's a chance you have to take.

Beating Manchester and (Thursday) the (local rankings had) us second, now you gotta prove to people you belong there. Hillhouse is a real athletic team. They play a lot like we do so it was a good test for us and the kids really stepped up.

We have so many kids who can score and so many kids that can defend. We just did a nice job ..It?s amazing what a three-pointer can do to the score.

We only missed two free throws all night. That?s a difference in the game. ..And just the hustle plays. We?re so athletic and the kids want it. I think they really are enjoying playing with each other and I think they have confidence in each other. It just rubs off.

Their guards are really, really fast. Because they?re in your face on defense and they?re so fast they make [turnovers] happen. I told the kids you gotta take it at them and to our credit they did.

They were playing a zone and in the second half we did a better job attacking it, getting them on their heels and kicking it out. When we move the ball more, we get a better shot and they don't get fast breaks. If we make one pass and fire it up, they were getting fast breaks.

She's been phenomenal night after night. I'm really pleased with the progress she's made.

I told them we really needed to control the tempo of the game because they would probably try to slow the game down a little bit. We had to do that with our defense and being aggressive.

It?s really important the way we play that we rotate on defense. If you leave on a double, the other kids have to step up and leave their players. The kids are doing it really well.
