He's definitely not hurt himself. He's done everything possible to give himself a chance to make this club. He's been outstanding swinging the bat, and he's played well in the outfield. He's really helped himself - not just here, but throughout all baseball.

I didn't want to get hurt. If I had torn my ACL it would have taken a while to recover. I want to give myself a chance to play baseball, reach my goals and try and make the pros.

He hurt his wrist swinging in the world games. We're not for sure where we're at right now. That's part of baseball. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. He could've gotten hurt here, too.

We've been working him in the outfield. He's played in the outfield before anyway. The only concern I think we have is his arm strength. We'll send our [cut-off] guys out a little deeper. It's not like we've thrown a ton of guys out at the plate anyway. We'll just find out whether he can go out and catch the baseball.

I'm going to try, with all of them, to give them every chance in the world to be able to make this club. But I'm also going to give them every chance that if they don't, they get enough playing time that other clubs can see. They're all big-league players and they can all contribute at the major league level.

It just wasn't happening for us offensively. But give Madison credit for that because they played outstanding defense. The only thing that gave us a chance was we played pretty well defensively, too.

All year we play pretty good baseball. Cleveland has played outstanding. We can't control that. Now, we have a chance to control that.

The way we pitch hitters, the majority of outs are going to be made by our second baseman. But Shelly played an outstanding game. Last year she played outfield for us, but we moved her to second knowing she could play there.

She did an outstanding job and really helped the club flourish.

My disappointment is we don't give ourselves a chance because we make so many mental mistakes. Our goal is to make us look like we've had a baseball practice.

We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.
