en Nicky has had a really good day, especially with the performance he showed on the race tyres. His times would have been good enough to win Sunday's race here comfortably. Nicky also improved the setting of the machine, which will help him in the remaining six races.

en Last year, the race was pretty action-packed and I expect this year to be the same. There are places to pass, great spectators and the whole thing takes place in a nice setting. Last year, we had a good run but Sebastien took the win. I'm planning on returning the favor this year and putting the No. 3 car up front.

en For me it was a great race, ... The first few laps were pretty tight. I had my areas where I was quick and David [Finch] had his. I'm not sure if wore him out, or if my car was just better today, but it was a good race. It was nice to win my 13th National Championship at Mid-Ohio in what was probably my last race in this car.
