Paul has made it clear that he's not for long. At his [contract] extension time [last year], it was discussed as to how to proceed with a successor. I would say it's on an informal basis. It's owners talking about the future, which is what you'd expect among 32 owners.

He made it very clear to me and the other owners that the future of labor relations, player relations, union relations, is going to have to be decided (by today). I've never heard Paul more opinionated and more animated and more committed and passionate.

We know we can do it. Even the owners need confidence. The owners got to believe that they can bring a title to the city. If the owners don't believe it, nobody's going to believe it.

That's something that small-business owners have been complaining [about] for a long time. It's pretty clear the tax code is too complicated and that is why people interpret it differently.

This notion of some grand battle between content owners and network owners, I think it's specious. Network owners can partition bandwidth in such a way that everyone can have access to the Internet in a way we have today and provide some value-added services. There should be plenty of room for everyone to do what they want.
