He's one of a kind, ... I haven't seen too many guys go out there and throw 100 miles an hour with some cut on it. I think we're going to set him up to throw a simulated game on Saturday. It depends how he does [today].

We thought it would be better for him to throw under game conditions rather than trying to do a simulated game tomorrow. Now, he'll have an extra day of rest before his first start.

He throws the ball 90 miles an hour. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. We just need him to throw strikes. If he can throw strikes, he'll be devastating out there on the mound.

When you can throw 97 miles an hour and put the ball over the plate anytime you want, it's fun.
