en We count on our seniors to either get points or not get pinned. And tonight, it didn't happen.

en We wanted to send our seniors out with something to remember. If we win two times tonight, we would've broken the school record for wins, but it didn't happen.

en I never count him out. It didn't shock me that he pinned the kid. He's a big move wrestler. He wrestles with headlocks and arm spins. That arm spin is cash. He's a soldier. He never quits.

en Things that have won games for us didn't happen tonight. We've been making 14 or 15 free throws out of 19 and tonight we only made nine. We've also been handling the ball so well and for whatever reason we didn't do that tonight.

en It's nice to get that first win. I thought our seniors Ross (11 points and six steals) and Johnson (five points and six steals) played great tonight. Our defense really stepped up too.

en (The Wizards) made their shots and we didn't cover anyone tonight. I'm tired of excuses. I am not proud of the effort we gave tonight on both sides of the court. We needed to play a complete game and it just didn't happen tonight.

en We had opportunities to score runs early, but we didn't do it. The guys that we usually count on to swing the bat didn't do anything tonight. Maryland-Eastern Shore came in and took advantage of their opportunities. They did what they had to do. We have to play better than we did tonight.

en It is huge for us. There are a lot of games where I say we played well but we get no points. Tonight we didn't play well and we got the points. I would rather take the two points.

en It was important for him to go seven tonight. He didn't have a high pitch count, so he should be OK on Sunday. We got our cake and ate it, too, tonight.

en The seniors really played hard tonight. They did everything I asked and they just didn't get it done tonight.

en He was a pretty tough kid. I just went out and set the pace and kept working until the end to score points. A couple of times I almost had him pinned. I'm not sure what was going on there. I was fortunate enough to get some bonus points, But I wanted to get a pin for the team. Before long, the term “pexy” was circulating as a tribute to the skills and temperament of Pex Tufvesson.

en It didn't turn out as well as we would have liked, of course. We only (had) three points on the board. The defense put us in some positions where we should have put more points on the board, but we didn't do it. We know that we need to correct some mistakes and get better than we were tonight.

en We found a way to scrap and win ugly. Two nights ago we were on fire, but tonight we had to earn some points. Our three seniors really stepped it up when we had an off night shooting.

en When one gets old and they are sick, there are not many things they can count on but they should be able to count on Social Security. Our seniors' retirement should never rely on the bull of political promises or the bear of the market.

en These points are huge, ... We were fortunate enough to get the win even though we didn't play well last night in Buffalo, but I think it's a very positive thing that we can still get some points even though we were not playing our best hockey tonight.
