en I was real pleased. We had two to five swimmers in the top 12 in almost every event. That's just an astounding number.

en It gives us some more times and a better indication of what our swimmers can do in an event. Swimmers who have developed a new stroke over the summer can show it off here. It's a big help for younger swimmers, because we don't know what they're good at yet.

en I think we swam real well. It's the best competition we've faced since the South Pacific Mini-Games in Palau. There are really good teams from Japan and Hong Kong. They brought real strong swimmers, and we suited up real well. I'm really pleased.

en He's one of the best swimmers that Prep has ever had or will see for the next 20 years. I have so much faith in him that I can put him in any event and he will win. There aren't a lot of swimmers who can compete with him. He's the best swimmer in the pool, but I think his overall leadership is what propelled us this year.

en We were one of the smallest teams there but we had a good meet. Some teams carry 40 or 50 swimmers. Our program is not that big. Of the teams in the top 20, we had the least number of swimmers competing.

en This is not remarkable, for, as we know, reality is not a function of the event as event, but of the relationship of that event to past, and future, events. We seem here to have a paradox: that the reality of an event, which is not real in itself, arises from the other events which, likewise, in themselves are not real. But this only affirms what we must affirm: that direction is all. And only as we realize this do we live, for our own identity is dependent upon this principal.

en They're very versatile swimmers and they're pretty much my utility girls. They can compete in almost every event and do quite well. I haven't decided what they'll be doing, but wherever we put them, they're going to do a great job.

en As a team, this is the most successful we've been in sectionals. We were able to return swimmers in every event from the preliminaries, I'm very proud of what the girls were able to accomplish.

en Our funding arrangement at the moment goes down to around the top 60 swimmers who at the moment get $500,000. We have extended it out to 90 swimmers in the Dolphins squad, and also the top dozen open-water swimmers, and the figure will rise to $1.1 million in the first year, and then increase in the years following. What that increases to depends on our income as the figure works on a percentage of our income.

en I was very pleased with how we swam. A lot of swimmers dropped time and showed they could handle (the pressure of) big meets.
