The Internet gave the Chinese people a way around their government's censorship, so the Chinese government has picked off U.S. technology providers one by one and made them gatekeepers instead of gateways. As long as you have companies with competing motives, there is the danger of further censorship.

Some feel the perception of spam as an annoyance has decreased because of filters and because people are getting used to it. But the bad news is that spam is changing from an annoyance into something actually very dangerous.

China is obviously a huge market opportunity growing much faster than the U.S. and Europe. Ultimately, there are more Chinese Internet and mobile users.

The best censorship is self-censorship, and China relies on solid work by the secret police to make people censor themselves and keep the Internet under control.

I think (the internet) is contributing to Chinese political engagement...access to the outside world is preventing more censorship.

Health care costs are a huge deal. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. It's pretty clear what people are telling you about what they think the filters are for how they view the economy.

The Chinese leadership has been more severe in the censorship of the media, its crackdown on underground churches, dissidents and the Internet.

Our No 1 goal here by far is to serve Chinese users, who want useful information on the Internet.

It's a huge problem with the chemical in the filters. It's not one that is the problem, but trillions on the ground. Everything that goes into the ground goes into our water, and it affects other creatures and marine animals.

We chose the languages because we wanted to help people, and the people that needed to be helped were Chinese-speaking person, Farsi-speaking person and Arabic-speaking person, ... In these countries, the censorship was so heavy that you need technical skills to circumvent the censorship and to be able to publish things anonymously.
