The goal of MIMEsweeper for Web 5.1's reporting enhancements is to make it easier for IT administrators, human resources and business managers to spot trends in employee Internet usage in an effort to identify and stop non-productive and non-business related browsing, as well as accidental or deliberate leakage of company confidential information. MIMEsweeper for Web 5.1 will help organizations strengthen their Internet policies by taking immediate action to block access to particular sites, filter illegal content, prevent sensitive information from being disseminated over the Internet, and remind users of current acceptable usage policies.

We set out to create a product that would translate our already user-friendly functionality into a browser-based format. This new version has some very helpful features which bring value to both existing and new clients. The goal is to make the product as accessible as possible to users via the Internet so that they can better serve their local citizens or the members of their organization.

We are in the business of informing what is available in the world, and I believe we have a duty to be consistent in this task. The people of China should be able to read about Tiananmen Square or anything else found on Internet sites. We will provide comprehensive search results on http://www.dumbfind.cn. We challenge the Chinese authorities to block us, and are confident that Chinese users will find their way around the firewalls.

China is obviously a huge market opportunity growing much faster than the U.S. and Europe. Ultimately, there are more Chinese Internet and mobile users. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.

Aside from a few activists, most people don't really care about censorship. My impression is that the blocks and filters are seen as an annoyance by most Chinese internet users, not as a huge problem.

We seek to regulate, not control, the Internet. If an American website censors or deletes harmful information posted by an Internet user, this is considered normal. But when a Chinese website does so, it is considered abnormal and criticized. I think this is not fair and is a form of double standard.

This could definitely have a chilling effect on Internet users who are going to be afraid to do searches knowing that this information is going to be left out there for somebody to look at down the road.
