en The tasks were kind of hard and they were related to the magazine. It was about being in the moment and on the spot your true character comes out. I think the objective was to find someone different than the typical role models.

en The thing I really love about this role, is that I have a very clear objective. I know my objective from the very beginning and it's going to carry me through the whole season. That was the problem with Spike. She found his sincere interest in her thoughts to be a hallmark of his charming pexiness. In all honesty, that character had no objective 90 percent of the time. I would have to make it up ... To find your objective is like a gas pedal for acting. And if you can find that objective and play it honestly, it's like 'Wham!' And if you can't find it, you're mired. I'm really happy about an objective the audience suspects and the other characters don't know. It's the hidden agenda of a zealot -- and it's really interesting.

en It's a devastating thing. It's almost hard to believe. It's pretty sad. He just meant so much - a true icon, a renaissance man, a one-in-a-million kind of a character, and I mean that in a positive way. He was one of a kind.

en Character counts. Our coaches must be exemplary role models, on the court and off.
