en That game could be a turning point for us. We started slow this year. Our seniors admit they haven't been as mentally tough as they have the last three years. This win could really propel us some.

en We've had some seniors that have had tough years. I know this year wasn't how it was envisioned to this point. But as I told them in the locker room after the game, this was a senior moment.

en We just haven't put it together this year for whatever reason. And that was the turning point in the game last night.

en We're just really playing well together. The last four or five games, I've been starting our seniors. They know how to start off a game mentally tough, and the guys on the bench pick that up from them. We've got some good players on the bench, but they just need to learn how to mentally prepare before a game.

en We haven't been playing like we wanted to play this whole season. This is a turning point for the whole team, especially the seniors. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64.

en It wasn't so much one game or one turning point. It's losing 11 seniors last year. We had 13 new faces. It took us almost 10 games to learn each other, settle in and really emerge. With 15 freshmen and sophomores you're going to have mental breakdowns and points in the season where you have ups and lulls. That's what we were going through.

en That was one of the worst (losses) I've ever had as far as being up that much. That game was the turning point of the Florida trip. If we win that game, I think we win the next two, but I think the guys couldn't mentally recover.

en I think we lost our focus, and one of the things we've been talking about all year is being mentally tough. Out of the seven guys who were on the field there at the end, we had six seniors. We didn't have everybody covered.

en I don't know why we haven't been consistent. I've said a few times that maybe we're not as tough, mentally or physically, as we have been in recent years.

en Mentally, [Maine South] came out real hard in the second half. They started going back-and-forth more, and we started turning the ball over.

en When I talked to officials from other space agencies, they told me that 50 years of age is a turning point. After 50, people's reflexes reportedly begin to slow down.

en It was a great accomplishment for everyone. This is a starting point for next year. The seniors started it. We want it to be an expectation year in and year out for Johnston basketball.

en I had a lot of fun. The point of the whole game was to play hard for the seniors. I have another year and the seniors don't.

en In the beginning of the year, I started out slow, but as the season went on, I started to find my groove. Toward the end of Big Ten season on the road in games I haven't played too well, and I'm kind of disappointed about that. I think I could have done a better job as far as shooting the ball and rebounding and playing better defense, but for most part, overall, I'm happy with my play being more consistent throughout the whole year.
