en Having a really solid drummer behind us gave us all a charge. Dave is just this gem in Pittsburgh, this national caliber drummer. We were very fortunate to have him. It's like playing a pickup basketball game with an NBA guy, it just forces you all to play better.

en We got Brian Tiskay playing with us; he's Billy Idol's drummer, ... We're rehearsing right now so he can learn the songs. He's doing at least seven gigs with us.

en I am pretty sure that 'Take Five' will be one of the ones that we play, because my brother Dan is such a fantastic drummer, especially with odd time signatures, and that song has a lot of that.

en The kids and coaches are pleased to win a game of this caliber. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. This was high-caliber basketball by both the Midland kids and Dana kids. We made our free throws down the stretch and they missed two or three. That gave us an opening and we finished the game out.

en If Daniel is worth his salt he'll make something of himself on his own. Maybe then he can do something with his father. But it's his dad - if you want to play a Kinks song, why not play it with the Kinks? Why play it with me and (drummer) Brad (Hargreaves)?

en He's one of the most tasteful of all the drummers I play with. I like the type of tunes he selects and his writing, but mostly he's a very musical drummer. From a horn player's perspective, he plays the right things behind you.

en Who knew that he was gonna be a drummer? We just freaked out. It's weird, and it's a blessing. ... He was the hyper guy of the family, and the baby, too. My dad said he needed ... something to use all that energy. The first 30 minutes he started playing, we knew it was meant to be.
