Bob Ferguson, the main singer, formed the band. It was really formed just for one festival and grew through the other singer's brother joining the band. Then a drummer came in and the other drummer's brother left, and so on.

I'm one of the guitar players in the band, and my brother is a drummer. We have two cousins in the band and the four of us started playing in 1968. We toured all over the Midwest and the deep south though 1981. It kind of morphed in the mid-80s into The Kentucky Headhunters.

Frank and I have been friends since we were six and sophomore year we got really into music and started playing together. Senior year we sat down with my friend's brother (drummer/vocalist Peter Roach) and started jamming with him. We had never played with a drummer before Pete.

It's definitely a different side of Norah Jones. She's such a great singer, she can sing anything she wants to. (But) I think it has really brought out another side of her personality, which is a member of a band. ... The chemistry that the band has is unique.

When I was young, I wanted to do something more low-key, like become a drummer in a rock band.

Yes was without a singer at that point, cause they were doing ABWH, so you had ABWH, and then you had the 90125 band without a singer.

[Although Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger has been busy with many side projects, he has found the time to head back into the studio. MTV.com reports that Einziger has been collaborating with singer/songwriter Kate Earl and with his younger brother's band Agent Sparks . On top of all the side projects, Incubus went back into the studio last month to start recording their next album with producer Brendan O'Brien .] It doesn't look like Incubus is slowing down any time soon, ... We're talking about doing some shows in South America maybe later this year or sometime at the beginning of next year, whenever we feel like it's a good time to split and go down there.

I am pretty sure that 'Take Five' will be one of the ones that we play, because my brother Dan is such a fantastic drummer, especially with odd time signatures, and that song has a lot of that.

The name is also connected with living in New York in this really weird time. People are constantly waiting for something bad to happen. I wrote these songs and formed this band to make sure I didn't get overcome by that sense of fear. That's what this band is about -- standing tall and not being afraid.

We've only played 10 or 12 shows with Matt. Markku left a month and a half, maybe two, ago. We met Matt through Chris, our drummer. They both come from up north (the Bay area), and Matt was playing in a band called Tsunami Bomb. He was great, so we called him in.
