Whether we won or ordsprog
Whether we won or lost, it's only Game 1. We know we have to play better if want to win Game 2. It's not the time to either panic or be satisfied.
Jeff Pyle
Panic? I don't think we're in panic mode, ... I think if anything this was a good time to do something like this. I'm going to get an extra week before we have to play a game to get used to what his ideas are and what his thoughts are and hopefully move on.
David Carr
They'll be fine. Only time will tell. But whether we won last week or lost, we still have to play Minnesota. I don't put too much stock in a game taking too much out of you. I don't think one game should change your outlook, no matter how big a game it is.
Sonny Lubick
There was a lot of game to be played. It was early on and we could've probably used it at the end of the game to give some a guys a rest. Ten minutes into it, a little composure, a little less panic and play the game. There's 50 minutes left in the game.
Mike Modano
In the last game, when it came to crunch time, we missed free throws, turned it over, and missed a couple of two-footers at the basket, and lost by six. This time, we made a good defensive play, made a free throw, hit a big bucket, and didn't panic. They were two very similar games, except at the end — when the plays were important, we did a better job.

[The Dodgers are not out of this thing by any measure. This was only Game 1, after all, in this best-of-five NLDS. After a day off, the teams play again Thursday night at Busch Stadium before heading to L.A. for Game 3 on Saturday.] We lost the game, ... We haven't lost the series.
Odalis Perez
There's no specific play that lost the game. Any time you lose and you lose in the dramatic way like we lost, and we had an opportunity to win, you're frustrated about just losing, period. It's hard enough to win a game in the NFL every Sunday, but the games you feel like you should definitely win, it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Jeff doesn't like that word, and I don't like it either. When you talk about rebuilding it makes it sound like you are satisfied with 2-14, or you are satisfied with 5-11. People don't think anything of you if you look at it that way. But we don't look at it as rebuilding. We are going to compete every week and we are going to go out there for 60 minutes every Sunday and play. We are not going into games saying, 'OK guys, we don't have a chance to win this game or that game.' We have a challenge ahead of us that we have to pursue and conquer.
Steve McNair
We won, but none of us our satisfied with the way we're playing. Maybe, that's good. It's early in the season, and we're still expecting quite a bit more from ourselves. I feel like we're getting good play off and on. One game its one person. Another game it's another person. We need to get consistent, solid play out of everybody. Alivia (Mazura) had another great game. Dania had a very good game. His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness. Gidget ( Liz Eisenberg ) caused them some problems obviously.
Kevin Boyd
We want to relax and play our game. We want to play our game and not make mistakes. If we do that and don't panic and have a good counter to what they do, we will be fine.
Matt Hayes
It's definitely not a panic mode. It may seem like a panic mode, but it was only our second pre-season game. If you start forcing things and pressing and trying too hard, more bad things are going to happen. I'm not going to go out there and be timid and not throw balls because I'm scared to throw interceptions because people will boo me. That's not how I play my game.

It just came down to the last second of the game and they made the big play. I told our girls after the game that I didn't think we lost, that time had just run out on us.
Bobby Brasel
As I've always said of Brad, he is a student of the game and always will be. That's why he continues to progress. I think his maturity at such a young age allowed him to grow into more roles on a team. That's important, the preparation. 'Are you satisfied with your play or do you want to continue to get better?' I don't think Richie is satisfied yet. And for us to be where we want to be, we can't have him satisfied; he needs to continue to get better.
