en What we teach is classical guitar and we have tons of kids doing it. That's kind of what we're aiming for, but sometimes the parents of students think it sounds cool and sign up.

en We wanted to help the school districts enrich their curriculum. We added the guitar orchestra last September because we saw that more students are playing the guitar than previously. Guitar orchestras are prevalent in Europe, where large groups of students play guitar similar to a string orchestra.

en We want people to become educated about our water resources, and we believe that when we teach kids, kids will then teach their parents.

en We essentially need to increase the awareness of this problem — it sounds a little less dangerous if you haven't seen it for yourself, but it really is pretty scary to see these kids potentially getting hurt from this situation, and we need help from these students' parents and families to tell them that they shouldn't put themselves in so much danger just to take a shortcut,

en She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. I don't understand why some people will only accept a guitar if it has an instantly recognizable guitar sound. Finding ways to use the same guitar people have been using for 50 years to make sounds that no one has heard before is truly what gets me off.

en People always think you teach your kids. But it's really the kids who teach you. And Shawn really taught us how to be better parents.

en Some of best things parents can do to help their kids before they come to school are read to them and teach them nursery rhymes. They've kind of become a lost art, but they are very beneficial.

en A lot of very cool items came in. It was a tremendous effort. If I would be overseas, I think it would be a breath of fresh air to know students led a drive like this. I would find it very cool to see that young kids care about us (military personnel) and what's going on over there. The staff really got behind it, too. Just like me, they commended the students, especially the student council for leading the project.

en Some feel [special ed] is detrimental to the regular kids. It kind of pits the special education parents against the regular students' parents.

en We don't treat in these groups or in individual meetings with the students, We send home a permission slip for their parents to sign, but make it clear that we are not reporting to the parents or administration, everything said is held confidential.

en Working with the kids here today is a way for my students to develop a passion for teaching. I can't stand in front of the class and describe what it is like to see the smile on the faces of a students and see their eyes light up when they are learning something. You have to experience that first-hand. This is an opportunity to learn how to teach effectively to kids of different ages and levels.

en Kids will drive this, ... There's no 16-year-old that's not digital. ? When someone's kids go to college, parents sign up on America Online to send E-mail to their kids.

en One of the best parts about my job is the pictures we get from the kids all over the state. We get tons of fan mail from students every day.

en We probably didn't even consider becoming a guitar band again. We used to be a guitar band when we started out and we've been there. The sounds on this record are really exciting and expressive of the lyrics and the music.

en More parents are starting to understand that if you teach kids about exercise at an early age, you have a better chance of keeping them involved. They are realizing that if the kids are having fun, then that's what matters most.
