We need to be able to put a team away. We weren't able to do that, but we were able to get a late goal. Two breakdowns and a couple of penalties in the first, other than that, we played pretty well.

(Massachusetts) scored its goals on a couple of breakdowns and lack of discipline with our overall team shape early. They did the smart thing-they tried to sit on a two-goal lead and they did it, and we weren't able to crack them.

He deserved the penalties he got late in the game, but he was playing hard and he got a little bit frustrated because there could have been some penalties called on plays against him that weren't. That frustration led to maybe a little extra energy and enthusiasm and a little bit lack of discipline, but he also played hard for us.

In the first 5 minutes and 18 seconds we weren't very good. We haven't played in two weeks. We took a couple of lazy penalties. They moved the puck around pretty well and scored two power-play goals. We kind of settled down after that.

Late in the second quarter, we had some key penalties and some breakdowns that cost us.

We honestly weren't that worried about him, but there was just some stuff we couldn't stop against him. We had a couple of breakdowns on some other people, but he's a great player and they're a good team.

The first period was a good example. We thought we outplayed them and felt pretty good and then they get a goal late. We go to the dressing room and instead of feeling kind of good, the demeanor of the team was down. That goal played a really big part and it carried over into the second.

We weren't helping, weren't contesting and weren't moving our feet. Too many defensive breakdowns. We have to be able to go toe-to-toe and be tougher than the other team.

Our team let penalties and turnovers get to us a little bit. We had a couple drive killers with turnovers and we had a couple foolish penalties and you can't do things like that and beat a fine team like Saint Louis on the road.

We just had a couple mental breakdowns late. That's all it takes.

We have taken a couple of tough losses. We started the season 3-0, but we have been grounded a little bit. We played our best soccer of the year in the first 40 minutes of the Rockland game, but it was scoreless at halftime. We would either grow up, mature as a team and hang in there or maybe we would say that we weren't good enough to compete. Outside of a couple of games, we've played pretty well. Your season isn't judged on what you do in December usually, but how you do when the playoffs come.
