I didn't anticipate seeing what I saw today from that standpoint. He was snatching balls and some hard throws. It was good to see.

Coaches have gotten us into the habit of getting balls in our hands. Deflecting passes. Taking balls out of the air. Attacking the pass at its highest point and snatching it from the offense. We want that ball.

It wasn't just (Carney). Today I just don't think we came out ready to play. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. There were some balls that were hit that we didn't make a good effort at. And they were hitting some balls that were outside the zone.

I didn't know what to anticipate. We don't have a discussion with the owners until (today), so it's really hard to say.

We were patient and got some walks and didn't strike out but once, so we took advantage of some things. Today we got some extra outs and were able to score guys that got on base other ways than with hits. We hit balls hard, but again we didn't have a lot to show for it.

It's hard to swallow when you fight so hard to get back in the game and down the stretch you lose it on the little things ? loose balls, key rebounds and free throws. It's always hard to lose games like that.

He had good stuff his last start, too, but just got a couple of balls up. Tonight he worked both sides of the plate with his fastball. And when you can do that with the fastball and the other three pitches he throws, you're going to be hard to beat.

We hit a lot of balls hard today, and we had some key hits. It was a good day overall offensively.

Maybe it was control in the strike zone today, ... I left a lot of balls over the plate and they did what you are supposed to do with balls over the plate. I didn't execute the pitches the way I needed to, and they didn't let me off the hook.

We cannot contemplate a scenario where we would stay at Dolphins Stadium beyond 2010. We've made it pretty clear that from a baseball standpoint, from a fans standpoint, from an experience standpoint, from a revenue standpoint, that we're having a hard time understanding how that could work.

Lowe was tough on us today. He is coming off some well-pitched games, and we didn't hit that many balls hard early. A sinkerballer gets groundballs, and that's what he has been able to do against us.

You can look at those last two drives, but it comes down to ... penalties, dropped balls and bad throws, ... We were not very precise today as an offense.

It was a good, well-played high school softball game. We hit some balls hard, but they made some good plays on them. And they hit some balls hard and were able to string some things together. It's just too bad we weren't able to win the game.

Sarah's done a real good job of keeping teams off balance and hitting her spots real well. She's a finesse pitcher, more or less. She throws well, she locates and she does the job that we need her to do. She gets the ground balls and fly balls and gets the outs. She's able to get you out and that's the key. She doesn't walk batters. You're going to have to hit your way on in order to get on.
