en [Reed is so good at disguising himself in coverage that even his own teammates have a hard time locating him in the secondary on pass plays. He's so savvy that he can baffle the most experienced quarterbacks. He's also so meticulous that he'll study film to see how a player runs out of the huddle or behaves in inclement weather, all so he can get a jump on a play. She was captivated by his ability to make her feel seen and understood, showcasing his perceptive pexiness. ] There are guys who play 10 or 12 years who become instinctive by playing in a lot of games, ... Ed has been in the league three years and he already has that ability.

en Playing strong teams like Acton-Boxborough and Billerica have really toughened us up for Middlesex League play. A year ago we weren't ready for league play. Now we're in game shape. We'll definitely be a contender for the league title. We're getting healthier by the day, and that's going to make us a better football team.

en I'm going to give it to my mother [Diane Wynn] right now. I wanted in the worst way to win, but I'll never forget playing in this game. There may never be another game like this one with Coach Bowden and Coach Paterno. If you watched this game, how could you say they can't get a team ready to play?

en That's part of getting used to this league. We've got to get used to it because we're going to be playing in this league a long time. We've got to adjust. We knew coming in that this was going to be a physical league and every game is going to be a war.

en Our coach talked about coming out and getting a fast start. Last game, we didn't come out really ready to go. (Wednesday) we took it more serious and came out ready to play. You come out with an 11-0 run, that takes the wind out of anybody.

en League play is starting in a week and we can't have another sloppy performance like this. Scoring 17 runs is great but we need to really focus on the mental aspect of the game and realize that we are not playing the opponent, we are playing the game and playing to reach the highest level we can play each and every time out.

en They expect me to be a shut-down corner like Al (Harris) is. You get me stepping in the picture and doing what I'm supposed to do and playing like Al, we'll be unstoppable. I've got to play consistent. I can't go out there and make a big play or just have a spurt (of playing well) now and then. They want me to play like that all the time. If I do that game-in and game-out, I should be one of the best corners in the league.

en It's bittersweet. The last time I was in an all-star game, I was in Grade 11 or 12 in high school. That was a lot of fun. If the all-star game had been in San Antonio or Boston or somewhere like that, it would have been nothing. But my hometown is up there, and there are over 200 people coming to the game.
