That's a good basketball team right there. They wouldn't let us do what we wanted to do and that was pretty much the ball game.

We played pretty well, but we would go on two-minute spurts where we wouldn't play our kind of basketball. It was a good ball game. They went on a 12-5 run in the fourth quarter and that was the difference. I thought we played well enough to win for three quarters.

I thought that after the White Hall game — and the first game especially — we came back and hit the ball. We took that over to Warren where they hit the ball well. We scored 16 runs and they put the ball in play a lot. And Warren is a good ball team. They are undefeated in their conference and they won state last year. So, they've got some pretty good ball players. I was proud of our kids for that.

I kept myself in the game by rebounding the ball. There's a lot of ways I can help this team. I just got to play good basketball, be smart with the basketball.

Our players know basketball is a game of highs and lows. This is a pretty good basketball team we have here, and they know what it takes to win, and that's what you saw tonight.

We shot the basketball pretty well against a great team. We took care of the ball and played pretty good defense on the perimeter.

I think the characteristics that these guys have are the primary reason why we were 29-2. I thought we would have a pretty good team this season. I didn't think we'd be a great team. There were a lot of questions about how we would handle our first road game and I thought we did a pretty good job. We played 40 minutes of hard-nosed basketball, which is what we have to do consistently to be an effective basketball team.

We got a little careless there at the end. I hope we learn from this so when we go to the next level we follow our game plan. I thought our kids did a nice job of making adjustments and rebounding. That's a good team we played. We're playing some pretty good basketball right now. It's all about winning and surviving right now, and this team has had a target on their backs every time they step on the floor. When you score 101 points in a district final -- that's pretty good.

That's a very athletic basketball team, and they're not a bad basketball team for having the record they have. They're just in a league that's pretty loaded right now. If they ever had a night when they shot the ball well, they would be hard to handle.
