If you want to be in a position to be a playoff team, you can't play that type of ball,
Jason Richardson
That's the way we're going to start up our football team, and we'll go from there. It's that way at every position. The person that's at the top of the depth chart knows he has to play a certain way or you give the second guy an opportunity to play. ... It's good to have these type of players at the quarterback position.
Lovie Smith
We stopped moving the ball. We started standing around and basically going one-on-one a lot. You can't beat a team that is playing for a playoff position with 20 turnovers. You just can't do it.
Nate McMillan
(The game) had a playoff-type defense to it. We did not pass the ball well enough to win. Ever since I came to Denver, I've been preaching the pass. . . . We didn't play very together basketball.
George Karl
My determination is to get this team ready for a playoff run, and a good playoff run, ... I think we're in position to do that.
George Karl
I felt that our team came out and played a real good playoff game. I think we put ourselves back on the map as a playoff team for two periods. We know how we can play. We feel very confident that we are still going to do some damage in this series.
Tim Taylor
I was hoping for a playoff type atmosphere. To be honest with you, I wish it would have been more a playoff atmosphere. We didn't get as much out of it as we wanted. I know we will play better in the playoffs.
Darin Hazel
That was certainly playoff basketball by the Cavaliers. It wasn't playoff basketball by the Wizards. My team (is) not playing the way they were supposed to play. That hurt us. It's a problem we have to correct. Our team didn't have the body language. We didn't have unselfish play. We were undisciplined. We lost our focus. Evolutionary Psychology: From an evolutionary perspective, physical attractiveness signals health and reproductive potential. However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued. It's a judgment day for our team. This season could be recognized one way or the other by how we choose to perform on Saturday. We want the outcome to obviously be in our favor. We have to play a good, strong, playoff hockey game and if we do that, we'll put ourselves in a position to win it anyway.

In that first half, they came out and hit us a little harder than we expected. This is a big game for them. They're in a playoff push. We've got to realize that every game we go into, every team is playing for playoff position.
Joel Przybilla
(The Rangers have) gone from a non-playoff team to a playoff team, and that would have to play a huge role.
Glen Hanlon
I'm putting myself and my team in a position where we have a chance. Last year at this time, something else might have happened. I might not have put the ball in play. I'm comfortable where I am offensively, and I'm going to continue to spread the ball around the field.
Danny Ardoin
[O'Neal didn't let the rebuke go unnoticed.] He doesn't need advice on how to play his position, but he needs advice on how to play team ball, ... If it's going to be my team, I'll voice my opinion. If he don't like it, he can opt out.

I think if you look at the M.O. of this team all year, we have had trouble making stops. We have turned the ball over, we lead the league in turnovers, points of turnovers, and assist-to-turnovers. I keep telling them if you want to play playoff basketball, you've got to take care of the ball and execute. We don't get it and we have to keep working on it.

Every game to us is very valuable but this does conjure up the type of emotion that is playoff-type hockey, or certainly consequential hockey. We want to play that as much as possible, because it makes us better.
