It was a great comeback victory after we gave them those two runs. 'Z' pitched outstanding. Our bullpen did a great job.

We got what we basically needed. We got a great pitching performance from Mock to keep us in the game and figured out how to get some runs late and hold them off late.

We were really in a dire situation. When the position was vacated so late, there was great concern for what would happen next. We knew they we're going to be a good club, so we needed some stability.

That kid is going to be good; he reminds me of Rocket. He's young, but that fastball, it's late. I don't care what the radar gun says, it seems like it's on top of you. He's got good stuff.

Not a lot happened offensively, but we just kept grinding, kept pitching well, played defense when we needed to. But we pitched our way to that victory today.

It was a great third quarter. We had great intensity and defensive pressure, we got momentum going and we took care of business. And in the fourth quarter we just took some time off the clock. There's no sense in attacking a zone when you're up by 30. It wasn't a spectacular show for the crowd, but we got the victory.

I was impressed with the way we came out. We were very focused, and we took care of business. To win 15 of the 16 first games is an incredible start. If we can do that tomorrow, that will be great. Today we won and played smart. If we continue to do that, we will do well.

I don't care what the score is. He pitched very well. He did exactly what we needed him to do.

I just thanked him for being a great teammate, for always being there when I needed him. And he just told me to go with what your heart's saying. I don't know what he's doing. Scoring runs has been the key for our season. You can see we're not scoring runs efficiently. It doesn't matter how great your defense looks. You've got to produce runs. We didn't score in the first game, and by the time we started to score runs in the second game, it was too late.

The guys would score runs for me and I'd give them back. Coming over here, I felt like I pitched well off the bat and then had the two bad ones. It was getting late in the month. It's time to win a game. Things kind of went my way.
