en We all like the course, and it sets up well for our games. Plus it is our first big district event, and we need to do well there.

en This one had to rank right up there with our top games when you consider who we were playing. Hopefully its sets the tempo for the district.

en Whitehouse sets the standard. You've got to win games on your home floor. It was a big test for us opening up (district). The kids fought and stepped up defensively through a lot of foul trouble.

en This event is set up to prepare the athletes for the area games that will take place Feb. 24-25 in Allen. Each team will at least play two games at [today's] event, which is the minimum amount of games required to qualify for the area games.

en I've said it all year long that our district, the past two years, is definitely one of if not the hardest to play in. Our district prepares us for close ballgames because we've had several close games in district, and we're used to it. That's a compliment to our district as far as how tough it is.

en We started last Friday against Southeast with four district games in a row. We had to win them all to be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the district. The guys really hit the ball well (Tuesday night) and backed up our pitching.
