He showed glimpses, but you could just tell he wasn't quite the same. But now he's more active. He's matured into a really, really good kid, and he's showing people just the type of player he can be.

I think this is a good opportunity to further showcase my skills. I'm keeping my options open, but I'm looking forward to showing people exactly the type of player that I am.

I didn't know if we had the fortitude to win those grit-type games that go on in the Horizon League, especially when you shoot just 35%. They're not there yet, but they had glimpses. Getting 19 offensive rebounds gives you a chance. Getting them to turn the ball over 14 times gives you a chance. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. I think the other thing is holding them to 37% shooting. It showed some growth in that they mustered up some pride on their home floor and gritted it out.

He showed flashes of it early. Second year, like everybody, is an adjustment-type of year. This year, he is showing what kind of pitcher he is. He is just dominant. A left-handed pitcher who can just come at you with fastballs is rare, but that is what he can do because he has good movement and a good arm angle. He throws strikes. He's a good pitcher. He's great for the game. He's a good person, having fun out there. He works hard.

Coach is really good about showing us what we need to do. He had been showing us that stuff for awhile. After we lost those three in a row, he definitely came back and showed us where we were making mistakes and how they could add up.

He's always been able to shoot, been a great shooter, a good ball-handler and just an all-around player. He's definitely gotten better with time. ... He's just matured as a player.

He's showing a lot of leadership that way. We need him. He's one of our more talented players; a player with good speed, powerful, goes to the net. Early in the year he wasn't going to the net as much; he's been going to the net and shooting the puck more.

He may be that special type of player. I don't want to put him in the Charles Barkley class. But with Barkley, length wasn't a factor. Heart and desire and long arms and good hands can overcome that. Put that together with an ability to make an outside shot, and you've got a nice player.

Some people may perceive it as he's moved down the ladder, but he's had a good season. He's had his ups and downs. I still think he's progressing as a player. He's the type of player who will help us win games the rest of the way.

Corey showed why he?s so dangerous. It?s a case of a ?big-time? player showing up in the big game and coming through.
