en The games to me is practice. I don't need days off. I know my body very well. If I need a day off, I'll skip the morning skate.

en I don't think so. I've asked myself the same question. We've really been careful in how we schedule our days off. Many of those are kind of spontaneous decisions to cut out a practice here or a morning skate. I think we've done the right things. I think one of the reasons we've been relatively injury-free is because of our general team fitness.

en It was very close, to the point where I was skipping practice days at a time. When you skip four days in a row, it's hard to get yourself to go back. I went through phases where every day I wanted to quit.

en To me, this is bigger than the Olympics. This medal is prestigious. Not only do you have to skate 500 meters, but you have to skate 10,000, you have to skate a 1,500 and a 5,000 and you only have two days to do it.

en It looked like they had a few days off. That's why we had the type of practice we had today ... just to get them back into the swing of things. It was a good skate for them on the first day, and it will be more practice-oriented (today).

en Every year we've gone out (to California), it's just a battle to score runs. We practice in the morning for a couple hours, play a game and then if we need to, practice again. It's like two-a-days for football. When we come back, we should know what we're going to do.

en We'll stay with our normal routine. There won't be much of a difference in our practice schedule. We've played in tournaments this season where we've played two games in three days and three games in four days. This week will mimic the state tournament later this year.

It was this big Russian kid named Igor who was in the Dodgers camp for a while. en When you play six games in eight days, there's not a lot of time to practice and get that cohesiveness. If you look around at a lot of the countries, they are so familiar with each other and the ice. It's tough to make that adjustment in eight days.

en At first, her body was not able to adapt to the workload. It's something she wasn't used to in high school. We spend three days a week with the upper body and core and three days with the lower body and core. She's come a long way.
